Harlequin

Description

A splash painting depicting a face with a geometric pattern and colour palette suggestive of Harlequin.

Started out as a straight splash painting, took about three sittings to complete. The canvas is heavily textured with lots of splash work as well as scratches and scrapes from a pallette knife and scraper. The character details and brushwork were added on top, and to some degree are built around the randomness of the paint splashes.
