Punkt

Description

Punkt – Outsider art portrait featuring a skeletal figure and skull with a Mohican. The background is splashwork and the figure was done with brushes. I had fun painting this one, it’s not intentionally Halloween-themed just a coincidence that I painted it in October. I suppose we could have a discussion about whether or not punk is dead, and I would wonder whether you mean the concept of punk or the musical genre, either way, I would argue that the spirit of punk lives on.  And to some degree, this painting is a celebration of the punk subculture. Although, that could be said of all of my artworks as punk culture is a direct source of inspiration for me.
