Outsider art

Reject – splash painting with newspaper collage.

This piece is part of a series I am working on about algorithms, technology, existence, and isolation in the modern age.

In terms of technique, it’s a splash painting with the newspaper parts added while the paint was still wet, and finally, the figure and details painted on the top.

Written in newspaper clippings are the words ‘This electric ada of ultimate living comfort bites rejected mis-human’

Ada is the Turkish word for Island.

Reject is about the feeling of being ostracised not just in the physical sense but also from the online world which is equally and to some degree more hostile than the real world.
